Rev. Peter Towongo, PhD, is a recognized ‘mouthpiece’ of God who operates in the full apostolic and prophetic mandates. He is a pastor, teacher, author, counselor, motivational speaker, and mentor. He is licensed and ordained into ministry by the Independent Assemblies of God International, Canada. It’s not uncommon to discover the Man of God’s heart as he always reiterates: “I strongly believe every person is created with a special gift from God to fulfill a purpose but needs enlightenment to discover and maximize it.” Dr. Peter is the founder and president of Compassion Life Ministries International (CLMI) and travels throughout Canada, the United States, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, South Sudan, Uganda, DR Congo, and other parts of the world addressing critical issues affecting individuals from different walks of life. He recently launched GoodNews TV which broadcasts live on different media streams.
Dr. Peter was born to South Sudanese parents and raised in church all his life. He was a missionary in Uganda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. He attended Koboko Bible Training Centre (KBTC), Alpha-Omega Seminary in Jinja, Uganda, jointly with Global University, USA. Rev. Peter also studied counseling psychology and education courses at Trinity Western University and the University of British Columbia, Canada. He recently earned his PhD in Christian Organizational Leadership at Newburgh Seminary and obtained a higher education teaching certificate from Harvard University’s Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning. He received a distinction in his dissertation paper entitled Examining Leadership Practices for Growing Congregations: A Historical Leadership Analysis from the Early Church to Today. Dr. Peter is the author of several books, including Power: 3 Steps to Kindle the Power Within You; Interpreting Your Tongues; and Package of Salvation. Currently, he is writing other books entitled Interpreting Dreams and Visions; Overcoming Strongholds, and another book that will soon be published.
Dr. Peter is married to his beautiful wife, Mary Aongo, MA, an evangelist, conference speaker, poet, author of inspiring books including Healing Songs, and a soon-to-be-published book entitled, I’ve Called You By Name. God has blessed them with two adorable sons, Anyole Towongo, and Agele Towongo. Miraculously Anyole shares the same birthday with his father, Dr. Peter. Mary A. Towongo graduated with a BSc in sociology from the University of California San Diego and an MA in Biblical Studies from Covenant Bible Seminary, Washington. They both love the Lord and serve Him together. Dr. Peter and Mary are regularly sought to speak in conferences, seminars, workshops, and other gatherings. They are mentors to many ministers of God including those in business sectors.
